How to Remove Palisades Collection From Your Credit History

Palisades Collection is a subsidiary of Asta Funding. They are debt collectors that primarily collect on AT&T wireless accounts.

There are many reports from individuals that have been contacted regarding an AT&T account and many of these individuals dispute they ever had an AT&T account. This company does not have a website and reportedly outsource their incoming calls overseas. Just finding a mailing address for them is a task.

They are located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and allegedly are headquartered in Wisconsin. Asta Funding the parent company does not provide any contact information for the debt collectors on their website even though they are both part of the same organization.

When you are contacted I suggest first requesting validation of the debt. I recommend doing this in writing and through certified mail.

I also suggest you dispute the listing they created on your credit report. This is done by crafting a dispute letter that states the reason the listing is wrong. Common reasons are; information is wrong, account paid in full, item is out of date and then you mail this letter to the credit bureaus.

Another step and perhaps a more appropriate step would be to hire a professional credit repair firm that employs attorneys. This can be done at a reasonable rate and this will provide you with legal resources to protect your rights.

However you choose to handle this situation, use caution in any communications you have with them. Your communications can be used in a court of law by them to prove your guilt over an alleged debt.

In sum, if you are being contacted by Palisades I suggest seeking professional help and not responding to them. I also recommend saving any communications from them and if need be file a complaint with the FTC.
